This island, with very diversified landscapes from North to South and East to West, contains a fauna and a flora whose endemism is higher than 80 %, including the famous lemurs, birds, chameleon, as well as the large Baobab trees, the Ravenala, Didieracae, orchises, carnivorous plants, .....

Sea lowers will be able to appreciate the 5,000 km of beaches with fine sand and practice deep-sea diving to discover the coral reefs and all the marine animal-life.

Especially not to miss:

  • The site of the Natura Reserve of Tsingy de Bemaraha (classified world inheritance since 1983) with its limestones rocks old of 200 million years.
  • The royal hill of Ambohimanga (classified world inheritance since 2001) with Antananarivo.
  • The Alley of baobab tree in Morondava who one can be filled with wonder and majestic baobab trees going of the crowned baobab tree with the baobab tree in love.
  • The migration of humpback whales between July and September, in the channel of Holy Marie. This is an unique opportunity to closely observe these giants of the sea and to appreciate their songs.
  • The Parks and National Reserves with dry forests (Ankarana, .....) or wet tropical forests (Andasibe, ....)

To visit the 'Grande Ile' :

A visa is necessary to enter to Madagascar. No vaccine is obligatory.
